	CDS Logistics realizes that one of the key components of a strong logistics network is computer systems.  We have invested heavily in state of the art computer hardware and software to better serve our customers and provide valuable information during every step of the process.  Some of the areas of our Information Technology investments are: Electronic Data Transfer CDS has full EDI capabilities.  In addition, our systems can translate order and item files that are in many different formats (Excel, CSV, fixed field files, XML, etc.).  CDS has a creative Information Technology team that can handle any data transfer challenge. Logistics Management System CDS has customized a Logistics Management System to meet the unique needs of a "Last Mile" delivery provider.  Our system provides full order management, routing, and tracking capabilities.  In addition, this system integrates fully with our barcoding and EDI systems to provide order status information to our clients. Barcode Scanning CDS has developed a custom IT system that accepts Advanced Shipment Notifications (ASN) and provides the functionality to scan your product at three critical points in the delivery process: upon receipt at our warehouse, during outbound loading and at the delivery site.  The system provides shortage and damage feedback to the Logistics Management System which can be quickly communicated to our clients for immediate resolution. Web Based Reporting Custom web-based interfaces have been developed to allow CDS's clients to easily view order information and track performance indicators.  These web programs integrate directly with the other CDS systems so that the web-based data is real-time. POD Management CDS has invested in an imaging system that allows us to scan all delivery documents and attach those images to the order in our Logistics Management system.  This means that if a Proof of Delivery document is needed, it can be retrieved and emailed in a matter of seconds. All of these systems and their associated functions are available across our entire 50+ location logistics network.
