CDS Logistics Distribution Network consists of 33 distribution centers, principally covering the eastern half of the United States. From these facilities we operate over 300 straight trucks, with two-man uniformed teams, delivering in excess of 200,000 "Last Mile" deliveries per year.
The CDS Logistics Distribution Network is UNIQUE. While a majority of our locations are strategic alliance relationships, we operate our own facilities within the Network. Therefore, CDS Logistics is not your typical 3PL. We know our customers, their requirements, and their product intimately. As a result, we are better equipped to engineer delivery solutions for the most challenging applications. At our Center of Excellence, which is located in Baltimore, Maryland, we design and test the processes and procedures used throughout the Network.
UNIQUE standards within the CDS Network are:
- Each location is guided by the same Operating Manual.
- Routine and new product training takes place throughout the year.
- Regular audits are performed.
- Key metrics are tracked and measured.
- A performance bonus program is in place which rewards excellence.
- Network members who fail to meet Network standards are replaced.
- Quarterly management reviews are held with each customer.
Because CDS Logistics' UNIQUE approach to the market and its superior performance standards, the Network continues to grow and inch westward. We are always interested in expanding into new geography if the opportunity presented would benefit from CDS's high standards.
